If you're chasing the 99 OVR 2026 Postseason Freddy Peralta, start with the collection screen, not the Guardians vs. Rays program. He unlocks at 38 eligible cards, and only the exact 2026 Postseason versions count. A Live Series or New Threads card of the same player won't help, so check the label before committing one. The collection was updated on October 20, 2026; if you're also planning your Diamond Dynasty roster, MLB 26 stubs may be part of that plan, but they don't replace the collection requirement.
Earn program points without losing track of the collection
Keep program points separate from the collection total. The Guardians vs. Rays path can reach 50 points through four missions, with no moment or collection task needed: earn nine strikeouts with Guardians players, pitch four innings with Rays players, gain 2,026 PXP with Guardians and/or Rays players, and gain 2,026 PXP with 2026 Postseason players. The missions pay 10, 10, 10 and 20 points. A card carrying both team and postseason labels can advance both PXP tasks. Play vs. CPU, Mini Seasons, Conquest and Diamond Quest are offline options.
Follow the collection checkpoints
Use the collection milestones as a road map. The four Wild Card and four Division Series programs yield 27 player cards; claim and collect Munetaka Murakami at that point. Four Dodgers vs. Brewers cards bring the total to 32, where Jake Bauers is available. Collect Bauers, then finish the five Guardians vs. Rays cards to reach 38 and unlock Peralta. The 36 program cards are made up of four Dodgers vs. Brewers, five Guardians vs. Rays, 13 Wild Card and 14 Division Series cards. Earning a card in a program does not automatically add it to the collection.
Make use of Peralta's pitch mix
Peralta's 99 OVR card is a right-handed starter with 110 stamina, 125 pitching clutch, 116 H/9, 109 K/9, 108 BB/9, 91 velocity, 99 control and 99 break. He has 120 H/9 against right-handed hitters and 111 against lefties, with a 109 K/9 split against both. His mix includes a 97 mph four-seamer, an 88 mph circle change, a 12-6 curve, a sweeper and a slider. Change locations rather than leaning on the fastball; use the slower pitch to upset timing, then vary the breaking stuff. Keep an eye on energy and command as the game goes on.
Check card versions before you collect
Check each card's series before you lock it in: collection cards become No Sell. Neither the 89 nor 97 OVR New Threads version counts, and Peralta himself isn't part of the 38-card entry total. Claim Murakami at 27 and Bauers at 32, then collect both rewards; otherwise, the next milestone may not register as expected. The final Guardians vs. Rays program card is separate from Peralta's collection reward.
