Trustpilot Takes Action Against Global Migrate

Reviews website  is launching legal action against an immigration advisory company for allegedly misleading customers with hundreds of fake positive reviews.

More than 700 suspected  have been submitted to Global  page,  claimed, despite warnings and a formal notice to cease and desist encouraging the posts.

The civil claim, being filed in county court, is seeking an injunction to prevent Global Migrate soliciting any further fake reviews and to recover thousands of pounds in dam has placed a public warning on Global  page which warn detected misuse on this  and tells readers you believe a review is fake, you can report .

The site said it will donate any damages recovered in the legal case to consumer rights charities.

It is the first time the 15-year old website has taken legal action against what it says are fake reviews, and the company said it intends to launch more cases  a number of repeat 

said its fraud and investigation analysts studied reviews of Global Migrate to compile a dossier of evidence.

Carolyn Jameson, its chief trust officer, said honesty is key to the marketplace trying to misuse reviews to potentially mislead consumer opinion will be held accountable.
