Very Bad Experience
I was admitted for acute urinary symptoms (blood in urine with clots, severe urgency and frequency, abdominal pain, chills) and started on IV antibiotics for a suspected infection. Unfortunately, my experience with the attending doctor and billing department was extremely disappointing. Medically Inappropriate Testing: During an active or suspected infection, invasive procedures like cystoscopy are not recommended. Despite this, I was repeatedly pushed to undergo cystoscopy. I was also instructed to hold a full bladder for an ultrasound even though it was intended for my ovaries, which was found to be unrelevant to my symptops per CT results — extremely distressing given my urgency and frequency. Later, even after my CT showed no bladder abnormalities, the doctor suggested cystoscopy simply because my urine “looked clearer,” without reviewing updated test results or considering that I was still on antibiotics. This was inappropriate, unsafe, and demonstrated poor clinical judgment. Unprofessional Conduct: When I questioned the necessity of tests, I was mocked with the comment: “Oh, so you’re the doctor now?” During the standard pregnancy screening, after I clearly stated there was zero possibility, the doctor pressed further, asking “Why?” and continuing to push even after I clarified. This was intrusive, judgmental, and unprofessional. Lack of Monitoring: The doctor did not properly review my symptoms or updated test results, made assumptions without evidence, and provided no structured follow-up. Communication was dismissive and left me feeling unsafe and unheard. Billing Issues: Two months after discharge, my bill and deposit remain unresolved. My insurance company requested a detailed invoice and documents in July (I was cc’ed on the emails), but the billing department ignored the request. When reminded, they claimed the documents had been sent but provided no confirmation or evidence. I asked them to resend and copy me on the email chain for transparency — they refused, saying only that excluding patients was “their practice” and there is not specific reason for that. This lack of accountability has caused unnecessary delays and frustration. The nursing staff were the only positive part of my stay — they were kind, attentive, and professional throughout. Overall, I was subjected to unsafe medical recommendations, unprofessional behavior, and poor billing practices. I left feeling disrespected, unsupported, and extremely dissatisfie
